* Duty Schedule for today: Surage, Dallas, Mack, Stoneback



Students with required Prime Time Study sign-off sheets should turn those in to Mr. Woodard at the end of Prime Time today. Give those to him in the main office hallway at 9:30.


Activity Announcements:
Today is the last day to give food and money to Care and Share. Look for the pink donation jar to give your five dollars to help families over the holiday season.

Prom Committee Members: Don’t forget you are meeting on Monday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave of the Winds to look at the facility and decide on a theme.

WORRRMS meeting today at lunch in Surage’s room.





Today’s Athletic/Activity Events:
Congratulations to our cheer squad on their second place finish last night in the Tri Peaks Invitational!

Also, a HUGE thanks to the MANY staff and students who came out and supported our girls. One of the sections on the judges form is crowd appeal, and to have that many fans cheering that loud made a HUGE difference. Thank you to everyone! And thank you to the many staff members who volunteered their time to help out last night!




COUNSELING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There are schedules and registration packets available in the counseling office for any Junior or Senior that is interested in taking a Post Secondary Options class at Pikes Peak Community College or UCCS next semester.

TODAY the representative from the University of Northern Colorado will be available in the counseling office during Prime Time. All interested students are welcome.

The Daniels Fund Scholarship: College-bound seniors: please check with your counselor today if you think your family income might qualify you for a need- based college scholarship.

Just a reminder: Any seniors interested in Learning Link at Memorial Hospital next semester, the applications are due NEXT Monday!





And a big congratulations to Sophie Thunberg for making it through 18 years of life. Happy Birthday Sophie. You go girl. From all your friends at Manitou Springs High School.

Activity Announcements:
Everyone – TOMORROW is the last day for the food drive, it has been extended! Our finishers in the Food Drive contest so far are in a close 4th place- Holladay with 29, 3rd place – Geraci with30, tied for 2nd place – Swanson and an unknown teacher with 35 each, and in first place as of right now, Venezia with 170. - Bring your non-perishable food items to your second block class by tomorrow! Our first and second place finishers will each receive a pizza party! Just think – bring in 3 or 4 cans each and you can have a free pizza party!

Teachers: If you need a box for the food drive collections – send a student to Miss O’Connor’s room.

Don’t forget to donate your $5.00 for Care and Share this week. Donation jars are located in Ms. O’Connor’s room.

If you are in need of a permit or driving test, please see Coach Quarry ASAP.

Book club will meet today at lunch in the media center.

We have to have a bigger crowd then CSCS so everyone MUST attend. I want to see everyone here tonight cheering our cheerleaders on! You go girls!

Activity Announcements:
Everyone – Just a couple more days left for the food drive! Bring your non-perishable food items to your second block class, and whichever second block class has the most items by this Thursday will get a prize. Remember, all the food we collect will go to families in our community that might not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal. Last year’s food drive, students brought in over 3000 items or about 7 items per student in two weeks. Let’s see if we can bring in half that or 364 cans per student by tomorrow. Don’t forget to bring in your food!

Teachers: If you need a box for he food drive collections – send a student to Miss O’Connor’s room.

Don’t forget to donate your $5.00 for Care and Share this week. Donation jars are located in Ms. O’Connor’s room.

Poetry slam will meet today after school in the media center. All you poets out there get ready to spank Shakespeare and slam Keats!! We also need judges and an audience. Refreshments will be served. Come listen to some of the best poets in the school.

Anyone planning on participating in the urban experience this Saturday needs to turn in his or her registration to Ms O’Connor today!

You guessed it – the very young ladies who need our support tomorrow night! This week there will be two college visits: Today is the Navy ROTC, and on Friday the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Both of these are open to all students and will take place in the counseling office.

Today's POPS group meets from 10:15 - 11:00 a.m. Please check with your block 2 teachers.

Hey everyone! Have you heard the big news? Our cheerleaders are performing in the Tri Peaks League Invitational this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. here at Manitou High School. We want to have a bigger crowd then CSCS so everyone plan to attend. Let’s cheer our girls on to a much deserved victory this Thursday!
