ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 22

*Duty Schedule for today: Hard, Astley, Stoneback, Almeida

Students: Want an opportunity to get your homework done before you leave school? Starting next Monday, January 26 all students are invited to go to Afterschool Study Center from 3 – 3:40 p.m. Teachers will be on hand if you have any questions. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Remember, if you want to use the walking path at lunch or any other time: Just keep walking. There should be no loitering, no standing still on the path or at the bottom of the hill.


Activity Announcements:
The High School Band will be having a Garage Sale, this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the school’s Old Gym. Come find that certain item that you can't live without! If you would like to donate gently used items to the sale, the drop off time is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Friday.

There will be a pizza party and meeting of the radio staff tomorrow at lunch in the media center.

Do you think you have what it takes to be the best drummer at MSHS??? Then come compete in the first annual MSHS Drum Off contest. Sign up in the media center as we will only have 8 drummers compete. For more details on when and where see Marcus Reyes or Mrs. Swinney in the media center for details. Drum set provided but bring your own sticks.

Students: What are you doing this Saturday night? Aare you going to the black and white ball? Well, if not, then you should make plans to go. Your student council is hosting a Black and White Ball this Saturday in the Commons from 8 – 11 p.m. Need a date? The buy our data matches this week at Prime Time and lunch and see who you are compatible with. Only two dollars for your match

Attention All Poetry Slammers: Please go to the Media Center at Prime Time to take a few group photos. All slam members MUST go!

POPS members: POPS will meet today during the 2nd half of Block 2 at 10:15 a.m. Teachers, if you have a POPS student in your block class, you will have received a note in your mailbox. See you at POPS today at 10:15!

WORRRMS meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mrs. Surage’s room. Also come after school on Friday to help write grants for the Solar Roof project.

Varsity Baseball Players: See Mr. Quarry for your baseball hat by tomorrow.

The representative from CU Denver will be available in the counseling office TODAY during Prime Time. All students are welcome.

Students who took a college class at UCCS or PPCC during 1st semester must get your grades and credits turned into Mr. Johnston to be reimbursed for your tuition and to have your grades added to your transcript. Please get this done as soon as possible!!

High Trails Camp Counselor Applications are now available in the counseling office! Juniors and seniors, see Mrs. Penman if you want an application.

Seniors – There are several new scholarship applications that have been added in the counseling office. Come check them out.

There will be an afternoon rock jam today after school in the choir room. Bring your instrument of choice and come make some music!!! You can also come and just watch!!! See Mrs. Swinney for more details.
