Afterschool Study Center - Mack



Students: There are roses and carnations for sale in Ms. Wendy’s office during Prime Time, lunch and after school all week or until the flowers run out. See Ms. Wendy if you would like to purchase a flower for that special someone in your life. Flowers are $1.00 each or 5 for $4.00.



Activity Announcements:
Teachers and students: The music is calling you! Come get a taste of the Harlem Renaissance today at an English II exhibit in the Media Center! There will be live jazz, student-made movies, and more during first and second blocks and prime time. Classes and individuals are encouraged to come walk through and learn about this time when African Americans explored outlets for group expression and self-determination as a means for achieving equality and civil rights.

WORRRMS meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mrs. Surage’s room.

Boys Basketball Players need to get their uniforms in to Coach Vecchio asap!

Girls Golfers need to get their pass to practice for next week.

There will be a Girls Swimming meeting in the front conference room today at Prime Time.

POPS will meet today at 10:15. This will be the last POPS meeting for a couple weeks due to CSAP.

COUNSELING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Juniors – don’t forget that TONIGHT is JUNIOR PARENT NIGHT. Juniors who are planning to attend college and their parents should attend this important meeting. Come to the Media center tomorrow night at 6:30 pm for this important college-planning meeting.

The HIGH TRAIL CAMP COUNSELORS AND ALTERNATES for this year are posted outside of the front office and on the counseling office door.

Seniors who are working on the Masons Benevolent Fund Scholarship, the deadline for the interview has been extended to March 6th! See Mrs. Penman if you have any questions.

Just a reminder to any Juniors who want to do the ACT Prep class next Tuesday and Wednesday, you can still sign up online, please do so as soon as possible!

There is a mandatory Junior Class meeting today at Prime Time in the New Gym. ALL Juniors are required to be there.

7:00 p.m. Symphonic Band Concert with Guest Faculty Performers
Students: Favorite members of your high school faculty will be performing in tonight’s Symphonic Band Concert. Come and watch Ms. O’Connor, Mr. Brown, Mr. Hard, Mrs. Holladay, Mr. Norris, Mr. Woodard, Mrs. Surage and Ms. Wendy play their favorite musical instruments with our high school band. Join us for much excitement and fun!








COUNSELING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Seniors – There are several new scholarship applications in, including the KIWANIS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP, the Transit Mix Scholarship, the Kohls Scholarship and several Engineering scholarships. Come check them out.

Students who have not yet picked up their TERM 2 report cards, can still get them from the counseling office!!

Staff: The faculty meeting scheduled for today has been moved to next Monday at lunch.

Staff: Just a reminder, those of you participating in the band concert tomorrow night, please be in the band room at 8:40 a.m. for practice. Bring your students if you have first block kids!
